Aperture is a photographic club based in Purley, Surrey. Our aim is to encourage people to develop a deeper interest in digital photography and improve their skills.

We are particularly keen to attract people who are new to digital photography, with little or no previous experience. Many people own a digital camera these days, but few have any instruction on how to use it properly, resulting in many wasted pictures. Aperture would like to be a friendly guide to help those who seek assistance.

As a result, although we have regular photo-assignments to encourage members to extend themselves, we don't have a lot of competitions. We would rather develop a supportive, helpful environment - than a competitive one.

We meet 8-10pm, on the 1st and 3rd  Monday each month at the Purley Baptist Church, Banstead Road, CR8 3EA.

Visitors welcome.
